Metal Roofer and Siding Installer needed in Marysville and Bellefontaine, Ohio.

Duties include:

  • Ability to read shop drawings and reproduce details. Knowledge of how to layout roofs and walls.

  • Ability to climb ladders, stairways and scaffolding

  • Knowledge of how to cut, shape, fit, join and install metal, insulation, ice & water shields, wood or other construction materials. Calculate stretch outs to maximize use of materials.

  • Interpersonal and leadership skills necessary to work with the team

  • Knowledge of how to install roof/wall panels, counter flashing, coping, fascia, gutters, miters, downspouts, roof curbs

  • Knowledge of how to seam and solder

  • Knowledge of how to take trim and panels measurements. Clips spacing plans.

  • General knowledge of construction materials and tools involved in the assembly, installation or repair of roofing structures. Metal metallurgy compatibility.

  • Ability to perform general physical activities in construction areas

  • Ability to identify problems and develop solutions in order to accomplish work

  • Clean up debris from the roof surface and surrounding property.

  • Install, repair, or replace single-ply roofing systems, using waterproof sheet materials such as modified plastics, elastomeric, or other asphaltic compositions.

  • Cut metal, felt, shingles, and strips of flashing and fit them into angles formed by walls, vents, and intersecting roof surfaces.

  • Install vapor barriers and/or layers of insulation on the roof decks of roofs, and seal the seams.

  • Cover exposed nail heads with roofing cement or caulking to prevent water leakage and rust.

  • Cut roofing paper to size using knives, and nail or staple roofing paper to roofs in overlapping strips to form bases for other materials.

  • Install partially overlapping layers of material over roof insulation surfaces, determining distance of roofing material overlap using chalk lines, gauges on shingling hatchets, or lines

  • Covering roofs and exterior walls of structures with metal, slate, asphalt, aluminum, wood, gravel, gypsum, and/or related materials, using brushes, knives, punches, hammers and other tools.

  • Repair cracks, defects, or damage, using proper materials

  • Physical ability to stand and walk, lift and carry items weighing 50 pounds regularly

  • Apply adhesives, caulking, sealants, or coatings

  • Inspect equipment, structures and material


Applicants must have OSHA 10 or willingness to complete the OSHA 10.

Reliable transportation

Availability M-F minimum 40 hours. $23.00-$25.00 DOE
