Metal Roofer and Siding Installer needed in Marysville and Bellefontaine, Ohio.
Ability to read shop drawings and reproduce details. Knowledge of how to layout roofs and walls.
Ability to climb ladders, stairways and scaffolding
Knowledge of how to cut, shape, fit, join and install metal, insulation, ice & water shields, wood or other construction materials. Calculate stretch outs to maximize use of materials.
Interpersonal and leadership skills necessary to work with the team
Knowledge of how to install roof/wall panels, counter flashing, coping, fascia, gutters, miters, downspouts, roof curbs
Knowledge of how to seam and solder
Knowledge of how to take trim and panels measurements. Clips spacing plans.
General knowledge of construction materials and tools involved in the assembly, installation or repair of roofing structures. Metal metallurgy compatibility.
Ability to perform general physical activities in construction areas
Ability to identify problems and develop solutions in order to accomplish work
Clean up debris from the roof surface and surrounding property.
Install, repair, or replace single-ply roofing systems, using waterproof sheet materials such as modified plastics, elastomeric, or other asphaltic compositions.
Cut metal, felt, shingles, and strips of flashing and fit them into angles formed by walls, vents, and intersecting roof surfaces.
Install vapor barriers and/or layers of insulation on the roof decks of roofs, and seal the seams.
Cover exposed nail heads with roofing cement or caulking to prevent water leakage and rust.
Cut roofing paper to size using knives, and nail or staple roofing paper to roofs in overlapping strips to form bases for other materials.
Install partially overlapping layers of material over roof insulation surfaces, determining distance of roofing material overlap using chalk lines, gauges on shingling hatchets, or lines
Covering roofs and exterior walls of structures with metal, slate, asphalt, aluminum, wood, gravel, gypsum, and/or related materials, using brushes, knives, punches, hammers and other tools.
Repair cracks, defects, or damage, using proper materials
Physical ability to stand and walk, lift and carry items weighing 50 pounds regularly
Apply adhesives, caulking, sealants, or coatings
Inspect equipment, structures and material
Applicants must have OSHA 10 or willingness to complete the OSHA 10.
Availability M-F minimum 40 hours. $23.00-$25.00 DOE
Strong working knowledge of job site safety as well as ability to complete a company specific safety orientation
